Job summary

The Nehemiah Project is seeking a compassionate Referrals Practitioner to meet with applicants onsite in Streatham, Croydon and Clapham. You will conduct initial assessments, explain the programme and help visitors begin their recovery journey with warmth and professionalism.

You will build relationships with referral partners, coordinate admissions and safeguarding, and collaborate with our team to ensure a welcoming, fair admissions process that strengthens our recovery community.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals through addiction recovery pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with referral partners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and data accuracy.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and empathy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete referral assessments and make recommendations for admission.
  • Support applicants throughout the referral and admissions process.
  • Build positive relationships with referral partners and external agencies.
  • Coordinate admissions and prison gate collections where required.
  • Maintain accurate referral records and occupancy information.
  • Promote safeguarding and contribute to safe admission decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve the referral service.
