Job summary

AJ Bell in Manchester seeks a Reconciliations Team Leader to drive day-to-day operations, coach the team and provide technical leadership for reconciliations systems. You will oversee client money and SIPP-related reconciliations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead process improvements with a focus on automation.

The role emphasizes KPIs, risk management and collaboration with Technology to enhance platform capability and control effectiveness. Hybrid working with office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing operational teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage deadlines.
• Understanding of FCA CASS requirements and regulatory controls.
• Root cause analysis and MI/reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day reconciliations operations including ICMR, Safe Custody, and SIPP reconciliations.
• Coach and develop the Reconciliations team; conduct performance reviews.
• Oversee KPIs, SLAs and control standards across reconciliation and funding.
• Act as technical owner for reconciliation platform and automated controls.
• Collaborate with Technology and Change teams to deliver enhancements.
• Maintain risk and control assessments and regulatory compliance.
