Job summary

Canterbury Care in Carluke is seeking a receptionist to support the Care Centre administration, serving as the first point of contact for relatives and visitors. This role covers financial record keeping, payroll basics and general office duties.

You will work 16 hours a week at £12.21 per hour, on-site, contributing to smooth operations and high standards of resident care, confidentiality and professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records of the Care Centre.
  • Prepare and issue regular Management Reports.
  • Process receipts of monies against Service Users accounts and maintain records.
  • Submit Service User financial information to Head Office for invoices to local Authorities.
  • Ensure invoices to Service Users are produced accurately and promptly.
  • Follow up settlements of invoices.
  • Ensure continuity of the Payroll.
  • Arrange accurate calculation of gross wages weekly using systems.
  • Maintain Staff attendance records.
  • Maintain complete files for Service Users and Staff.
  • Provide admin/secretarial support to the Home Manager (typing, filing, correspondence).
  • Operate office equipment (fax, photocopier, computer).
  • Answer telephone and direct enquiries politely.
  • Maintain stationery supplies.
  • Order and maintain records of Staff uniforms.

Hours: 16 hours per week

Woodhurst specialises in a range of residential care for the elderly, from assistance with basic living tasks through to elderly nursing clients. Our team treats everyone with dignity and there is a firm focus is on promoting residents’ independence and quality of life.

Role Overview

We are seeking a receptionist to join our team and be responsible for the smooth running of the administration of the Care Centre. You will be the first point of contact for relatives and visitors when either attending or calling the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records of the Care Centre in line with Company policies and procedures, using computer and manual systems
  • Prepare and issue regular Management Reports within prescribed timescales
  • Process receipts of monies against Service Users accounts. Maintain records
  • Prepare and submit relevant Service User financial information to Head Office to ensure invoices to local Authorities are produced accurately and promptly.
