Job summary

Bitterne Health Centre is seeking a proactive Reception Team member to support the Estates Team, delivering high-quality front-line care and customer service. You will greet patients and visitors, coordinate with clinicians and service managers, and help manage a busy workload with empathy and professionalism.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, autonomously handling tasks while maintaining a courteous and flexible approach in challenging times.

• Answer, screen and route phone enquiries and manage general correspondence.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and calendar management for clinics.
• Liaise with clinicians, patients and other staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Prioritise workload and stay organised during busy periods.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated person to join our friendly Reception Team at the Bitterne Health Centre.

The successful candidate will have a caring and courteous manner and enjoy working with and meeting people. You will be working within the Estates Team and working in liaison with clinicians, patients and visitors You will need to be resourceful, organised and capable of delivering high quality support to busy services during challenging times

You will work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, working with clinical colleagues and service managers. You will work as part of the reception team but also autonomously and will be responsible for managing your own workload.
