We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to join a well-established housing association. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused administrator to provide a professional front-of-house service whilst supporting the Facilities and Health & Safety teams with a variety of administrative duties. Based at the organisation's head office, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring visitors, residents, contractors, and colleagues receive a welcoming and efficient service.
Working closely with teams across the business, you will help maintain accurate records, support health and safety processes, coordinate reception activities, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
Receptionist - Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver a professional and welcoming reception service for residents, visitors, contractors, and colleagues
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures, issue passes, and maintain accurate visitor records
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and office supplies including stationery and cleaning materials
- Respond to enquiries received via email and internal ticketing systems in a timely and professional manner
- Provide administrative support including data entry, document management, filing, and record keeping
- Support health and safety administration, including inductions, training records, and new starter processes
- Assist with the collection and maintenance of data required for health and safety reporting
- Manage the issuing and logging of garage keys and other site access requirements
- Support emergency procedures and office-based health and safety activities when required
- Build positive working relationships across departments and role model organisational values
Receptionist - Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working in a reception, front-of-house, or administrative position
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly approach
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Strong customer service skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety processes would be advantageous
- Experience within a housing association, public sector, or customer-facing environment would be beneficial
