Receptionist

Location: Cedar Road Dental, Abington Health Complex Beech Avenue, Northampton, NN32JG.

Hours: 24 hours per week

Role Overview

As a Receptionist, you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer, welcoming them, understanding their feelings, and ensuring they have a great experience. First impressions count.

You’ll work closely with every team member, building trust through your efficiency, accuracy, and people skills. You’ll be a great communicator, able to speak clearly and calmly with patients both in person and over the phone. You’ll handle patient concerns and queries regarding treatments, including pricing and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
  • Managing the diaries and ensuring correct scheduling
  • Understanding the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
  • Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within specified timescales
  • Processing payments and chasing outstanding patient debts
  • Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies, and other organizations
Key Skills and Experience
  • Ability to build rapport and deliver high-level customer service
  • Passion for learning about treatment options within the dental sector
  • Drive to contribute to the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
  • Ability to follow processes and work in an organized manner
  • Comfortable working towards practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture, rebooking)
  • IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and composure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent team player
