Job summary

Stephenson Academy MK invites an organised, friendly receptionist to join our busy school reception. You will be the first point of contact for students, parents and staff, handling calls, emails and general enquiries with professionalism.

You will provide admin support, maintain accurate records, assist attendance, help organise meetings and events, and ensure strict confidentiality while safeguarding procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient with IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Academy reception, welcoming and directing visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Deal with telephone calls, emails and general enquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to staff and the wider Academy.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases.
  • Assist with student attendance and absence administration.
  • Support the organisation of meetings, appointments and Academy events.
  • Process correspondence and maintain effective filing systems.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and security procedures.

Job description

Stephenson Academy provides education for students both male and female aged between 11 and 16 years. We are the local SEN provision for students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality curriculum, truly individualised to meet the needs of our students, ensuring successful outcomes for all.   • Someone who is confident using IT systems and has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A team player who is willing to support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider life of the Academy
  • Someone who understands the importance of safeguarding and is committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • A flexible and proactive individual who is able to respond positively to the changing needs of a busy school environment
