Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced administrator/receptionist to support patient triage and EPR verification. You will work on reception desks across Knowsley, Kirkby and Halewood, handling calls, checking patients in for booked or walk-in clinics, and supporting clinic operations.

Role requires strong IT skills (Word/Excel), discreet handling of confidential information, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience using Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems.
• Experience working in a busy office and handling confidential information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in teams and plan/schedule tasks.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; awareness of confidentiality issues.

Responsibilities

• Work on reception desks across Knowsley, Kirkby and Halewood.
• Answer calls on the triage line and check patients in to the EPR system for booked or walk-in clinics.
• Operate rota shifts across Monday–Saturday and cover six days per week.
• Support clinics with patient flow and administrative duties.
• Possibility to split the full-time post into two part-time positions as discussed.

Job description

Our ideal candidate will have experience of using Electronic Patient Record Systems, supporting basic patient triage and excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be working various shifts on a rota basis across the Knowsley, Kirkby and Halewood sites. Clinics are open Monday - Saturday with a combination of booked and walk-in clinics. The successful candidate will be expected to work various shift patterns to cover the clinic opening times above over a 6 day week (Monday- Saturday) to meet the needs of the service and will be discussed at interview. Possibility to split the full time post into two part time positions can be discussed at interview. Working on reception desks across Knowsley, Kirkby and Halewood taking calls on the telephone triage line, checking patients into the EPR System on the walk-in and booked appointment clinics.
