First impressions matter. As a Receptionist, you play a pivotal role in setting the tone for every interaction. You are the first face and first conversation visitors to Pinhoe View in Exeter will experience. Your warm and friendly personality will shine through as you greet and assist staff, visitors, and service users.

What you will be doing

In this role at Pinhoe View, a service for adults with acute mental health conditions, each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working alongside the reception team, your key responsibilities will include welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, coordinating the office diary for meetings and events, and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails, and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff, and visitors is a top priority. You will oversee visitor sign-ins, conduct security checks, and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

As a Receptionist, you will be:

• Welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner and ensuring they sign the visitor book.
• Maintaining the upkeep of the reception area and meeting rooms to be presentable.
• Managing the office diary for meetings, events, training days, and therapy sessions.
• Ensuring confidentiality and security for the service.
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls, emails, and post.
• Ensuring all appropriate leaflets and brochures are on display.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have previous experience.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be professional, confident, and diplomatic.
• Have GCSE English Language Grade C or above.
• Be efficient and enthusiastic.
• Have an understanding of confidentiality and security.

Where you will be working:

Location: Pinhoe View, College Way, Exeter, EX1 3PZ

Pinhoe View is a purpose-built facility providing mental health services for adults with acute conditions across two wards and eight flats. The 24-hour inpatient service is supported by a multidisciplinary team specializing in assessment, treatment, and stabilization of mental health crises.
