Roles Overview

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking an exciting opportunity beyond the traditional clinical setting? We have the ideal role for you! We are looking for a Triage Nurse to support our Client Services team in Bolton. In this vital position, you will ensure the smooth operation of our front-of-house services, maximising diary efficiency and triaging patients upon arrival.

This is a pivotal role that will not only utilise your clinical triaging ability but also your eye for detail and organisational skills. This role is ideal for an advanced nurse (2 years qualified or more) wishing to move away from clinical work and has a passion for client care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Triage Support: Assess and prioritise incoming patients to ensure timely and appropriate care by the correct team.
  2. Front Desk Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Reception team to streamline all aspects of client services.
  3. Line management responsibility over our customer service advisors.
  4. Diary Management: Ensure appointment diaries are booked out efficiently under the correct workstreams to maximise throughput of clients and pets.
  5. Communication: Act as a liaison for external referrals coming into the clinic.
  6. Call handling: Answering incoming calls from pet owners.
  7. Pharmacy assistant: Assisting with repeat prescription enquiries as required.
  8. Administrative Tasks: Handle non-clinical administrative duties related to patient care and case management, including assisting with insurance claims and queries, Debt management.

Skills And Qualifications

Certification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) is essential. Demonstrated ability to handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with confidence, calm, and kindness. Management experience is advantageous but not a requirement. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to empathise with pet owners and collaborate effectively within a team.

A competitive salary up to £29,000, depending on experience. A rota of Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required to cover sickness, supporting a healthy work-life balance. A non-clinical role with opportunity to improve workflows in the hospital. Comprehensive benefits package including: 6 weeks of holiday, including bank holidays, as per the rota. Work-Life Balance

Working hours of 40-hours week across five days, Hours of work will be 08:00 - 16:30hrs.
