Job summary

Teach Now is recruiting a Reception Teaching Assistant to provide additional whole-class support at a primary school in Barnet. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys early years education and is looking for a consistent two-day weekly commitment.

You will support children's learning through play, encourage communication and independence, and help maintain a welcoming learning area. There is a Monday and Wednesday schedule, starting October 2026.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children, ideally in Reception or an early years setting.
  • A warm, patient approach and confidence supporting different learning needs.
  • The ability to follow teacher-led plans while using initiative.

Reception Teaching Assistant – Barnet

Pay: £93–£100 per day, dependent on qualifications and experience


Contract: Part-time, long-term temporary


Days: Mondays and Wednesdays only


Start: October 2026 — exact first working day to be confirmed
