Job summary

Academics in Devizes is seeking a Reception Teacher for a welcoming mainstream primary school to join on a permanent basis with an ASAP or September start.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, support the EYFS to KS1 transition, foster an inclusive classroom, and collaborate with staff and parents to ensure strong pupil progress. QTS is required; ECTs welcome. This is a full-time post with a salary in the range shown.

Qualifications

• Qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience in a primary school setting
• Passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Adaptable, enthusiastic and committed to pupil progress
• Confident managing behaviour and creating a positive classroom environment
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Support pupils through the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Support the academic, social and emotional development of all pupils
• Adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities, including pupils with additional needs
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
