Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate Reception Class Teacher to join a Northampton primary school from September 2026. This full-time role offers a long-term temporary position or a temp-to-perm pathway, with a competitive MPS/UPS salary based on experience.

You will deliver high-quality EYFS provision, create a language-rich environment, and work with a supportive team to foster children’s confidence, independence, and love of learning.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary or Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Nurturing, enthusiastic, patient and creative teaching approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with EYFS.
• Differentiate and adapt activities to meet individual needs and development stages.
• Observe, assess, and track progress to inform planning and next steps.
• Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence in children.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leaders.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and contribute to school life.
