Job summary

Supply Desk in Buckinghamshire is recruiting a Reception Teacher for a full-time, temporary-to-permanent post starting September 2026. The role is based in Bierton and focuses on EYFS, play-based learning and safeguarding.

You will plan engaging activities, support early development, monitor progress and work with families to support each child. A nurturing, inclusive classroom and positive routines are expected.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience in Early Years or Reception preferred.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and development.
• Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS check and professional references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching within the EYFS.
• Plan and provide play-based learning opportunities for diverse abilities.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and communication development.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom with strong routines.
• Monitor and assess progress using EYFS framework observations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child’s development.
• Promote positive behaviour and effective learning environments.
