Job summary

St. Mary’s CE Primary School in Stockport is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our caring educational family. The role is 0.4 FTE, Thursday and Friday, temporary until 31st August 2027, with start date 4th January 2027.

Rooted in our Christian foundation, we value a compassionate, reflective practitioner who promotes high EYFS standards, early reading and phonics, and a collaborative approach with families and the wider school community.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, compassionate and visionary Reception Teacher for EYFS.
  • Strong commitment to early reading and phonics foundations.

Responsibilities

  • Pedagogical and EYFS excellence: model high‑impact early years practice and provide a stimulating environment.
