Job summary

St Mary’s CE Primary School in Stockport is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join our caring educational family. Start date 4 January 2027; 0.4 FTE, Thursday and Friday, MPS/UPS. The post is temporary until 31 August 2027 with a 4th January start date.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, compassionate, and visionary Reception Teacher.
• Familiarity with Early Years (EYFS) practice and assessment is desirable.

• Pedagogical & EYFS Excellence: Model innovative, high-impact Early Years practice. Maintain a rich, stimulating environment that sparks curiosity, engages every child, and ensures exceptional foundations in Early Reading and Phonics.
• Living Our Christian Ethos: Embed core Christian values—such as kindness, forgiveness, humility, and compassion—into daily interactions, classroom culture, and whole-school life.
