Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a professional Reception Class Teacher to join an inclusive school in Kings Langley from September. The role focuses on EYFS, planning engaging activities and fostering a nurturing environment where children build confidence as they begin formal education.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, enjoy collaborative teamwork, and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate EYFS lessons for Reception pupils.
  • Monitor and assess progress against the EYFS framework.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning through play.
  • Liaise with parents/carers to share progress updates.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and collaborate with colleagues for best outcomes.
  • Support school-wide safeguarding and inclusive practices.

Supply Desk are seeking a professional, passionate, and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Kings Langley area, starting this September.


This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is committed to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated to supporting young children as they take their first steps into formal education, helping every pupil develop the confidence, skills, and foundations they need to thrive.


You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS curriculum, monitoring and assessing pupil development, and maintaining strong communication with parents and carers. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore and learn through play.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with parents/carers to share updates on children's progress and development

  • Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes


Requirements:


  • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within an Early Years or Reception setting

  • Passion for supporting children's early development and learning

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Inclusive ethics

  • Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
