Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September. The role focuses on delivering play-based EYFS learning, monitoring progress, and fostering an inclusive environment that supports each child’s development.

The successful candidate will hold QTS, have EYFS experience, and be committed to safeguarding, collaboration, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • QTS required to teach in UK primary settings.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication with parents.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver EYFS lessons and learning activities.
  • Track and report on children's progress and development.
  • Liaise with parents/carers to provide regular updates on pupil progress.
  • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support all pupils' outcomes.

Supply Desk are currently seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead from September.

This full-time opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about providing children with the very best start to their education. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and be committed to creating a stimulating, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role will involve planning and delivering creative, play-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity and support children's individual development. You will assess and monitor pupil progress, build positive relationships with parents and carers, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure children thrive during this important stage of their learning journey. Requirements

  • Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
