Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Greenwich (SE10). The role is full-time on a temporary contract starting November 2026, ending July 2027.

You will deliver EYFS teaching, including planning, marking, and preparation, and support safeguarding and parental communications under a supportive senior leadership team. A valid UK QTS and at least 1 year EYFS/KS1 experience are required, with safeguarding training updated in the past year.

JOB TITLE - Reception Teacher

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher for a Primary school in SE10, Greenwich.

The position is open to experienced and qualified Teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 170 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year EYFS or KS1 teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

OTHER

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
