Prospero Teaching is partnered with a warm, welcoming primary school in Stockwell, SW London, seeking a Reception Teacher to join their team. The role involves planning, preparation, marking, and carrying out parents' evenings within a one-form entry setting.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with EYFS/KS1 experience, DBS on update service, and a commitment to safeguarding and high-quality teaching. The position runs until 31 July 2027, with term-time hours from 8:00 to 16:00.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is excited to be working with a warm, inclusive, and welcoming primary school in Stockwell, South West London, who are looking for a Reception Teacher to join their fantastic team. This popular one-form entry school has a supportive and forward-thinking leadership team who value collaboration and staff wellbeing. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Tooting, South West London
• Position - Reception Teacher
• Type of work - Class Teacher - planning, preparation, marking, parents evenings etc
• Position start date - Monday 4th January 2027
• Duration - until end of the academic year July 2027
• Contract type - Temporary / Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP170 per day (depending on MPS)
• Hours - 8:00am - 16:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in EYFS / KS1
• DBS on the Update Service

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.

Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
