Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Reception Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Barking (IG10). The role is a temporary contract from November 2026 to July 2027, full-time, 8:30am-4pm, term-time only.

Requirements include QTS or equivalent, at least 1 year EYFS/KS1 UK teaching experience, and safeguarding training within the last year. Right to Work in the UK and DBS checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Planning, marking and preparation for EYFS lessons.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year EYFS or KS1 teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
