Job summary

Supply Desk are recruiting a Reception Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Watford to support the Reception class and help create a safe, engaging learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver activities and support children's development.

This full-time role starts ASAP, offering £22,000–£29,000pa (dependent on experience) and ongoing CPD/support from local education consultants.

Qualifications

Experience supporting children in school, nursery, or early years (Desirable).
Understanding of EYFS framework and Reception curriculum (Desirable).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering age-appropriate learning activities for Reception children.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to develop academic, social, and emotional skills.
Support children's development across the EYFS framework.
Foster positive behaviour, confidence, independence and social skills.
Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, parents and colleagues.
Assist with observations and assessments of learning and development.
Adapt activities to meet individual needs and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom.
