Job summary

Kent Local Medical Committee is seeking an experienced, approachable and organised Reception Supervisor to join our busy Len Valley Practice team and take a key role in the day-to-day running of the reception service.

You will lead and support the reception team, coordinating daily workloads, rotas and cover; help staff development and training; and assist with complex patient queries, compliance, recalls, audits and information governance.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.70 per hour

We are looking for an experienced, approachable and organised Reception Supervisor to join our friendly practice team and take a key role in the day-to-day running of our busy reception service.

You will lead and support the reception team, helping to ensure patients receive a welcoming, professional and efficient service. You will coordinate daily workloads, rotas and cover, support staff development and training, and help resolve day-to-day issues and more complex patient queries.

Working closely with the management team, you will help maintain high standards across reception, monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve how we work. You will also support compliance, recalls, audits, care navigation and practice initiatives, while ensuring confidentiality and information governance are always maintained.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and making things work better. You will need to be confident, calm under pressure and able to use your initiative, while knowing when an issue needs to be escalated.

Previous GP reception or healthcare experience is desirable, alongside strong organisational and communication skills. Experience of EMIS and supervising or supporting a team would be an advantage.
