Job summary

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington, part of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, is seeking a full-time Shift Leader to oversee Reception operations and supervise up to two staff members. You will ensure accurate End of Day processes, assist guests with enquiries, and manage room allocations for group arrivals.

Key duties include maintaining billing accuracy, handling VIPs and late arrivals, and supporting cross-department liaison.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to hotel front desk operations and customer service.
• Ability to manage shifts, supervise up to two staff members, and handle guest enquiries effectively.
• Familiarity with billing procedures, city ledger accounts, and end-of-day processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage reception operations and supervise staff during shifts.
• Oversee End of Day processes and accuracy of group balances.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and liaise with management as needed.
• Register guests efficiently and allocate rooms per policy.
• Balance floats and cash handling, conduct weekly float checks.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming for the team.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures and hotel policies.
