Salary package: £28,300 plus commission on upsells, hotel discounts, health cashback plan, meals on duty, pension scheme, loyalty rewards and referral bonuses, and more.

Reception Manager (Maternity Cover – 12 months)

Main job purpose: To manage the daily operations of the Reception Department, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximum customer care through efficient and courteous service, to the required standards of the hotel. To monitor, train, and build on current standards and implement new procedures where necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate excellence in customer care and service, maintaining high levels of respect and professionalism.
  • Support the front desk team to resolve problems or delays during check-in or check-out.
  • Delegate tasks and set objectives to assistant and sub-departmental managers and supervisors.
  • Responsible for staff employment and training in conjunction with HR, ensuring training manuals are up-to-date.
  • Arrange rotas according to business levels, control overtime, and ensure accurate timesheet completion.
  • Supervise bedroom allocation for tour groups, VIPs, and regular guests, meeting special requests.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance and uniform presentation.
  • Ensure hotel credit procedures are followed and records are accurate.
  • Hold regular team briefings and meetings, promoting hotel facilities and sales targets.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in hospitality or related activity.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Opera system.
  • Strong organization, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
