A leading healthcare practice in Bournemouth is seeking a Reception Manager to oversee the reception team and manage patient queries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication and IT skills. Key responsibilities include rota planning, administrative tasks, and team management to ensure high-quality patient care.
The Reception Manager is the first point of contact the reception team and patient queries. We are looking for a dynamic individual, who strives on a fast paced environment, changing priorities and is a true people person. An analytical mind is essential, for rota planning for the clinical and non clinical team, complaint investigation and problem solving.
The individual needs to possesses excellent communication skills, IT proficiency, multitasking abilities, confidence in both independent and collaborative work within a supportive and flexible team environment.
Administrative: Organising reception rota, covering reception during busy periods or in case of absence / annual leave. Completion of reception daily tasks as well as incoming calls / patient emails. Assisting with any other administrative duties concerned with the day to day running of the Practice.
General Management: Carry out supervisions, appraisals and probation meetings. Regular review of customer service, coaching and development of the team. Leading focussed team meetings.
Practice Organisation: Clinical and non-clinical rota planning.Supporting the Practice Manager in monitoring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Meeting Participation: Attending practice meetings and training sessions as needed.
Confidentiality: Respecting patient privacy and adhering to strict confidentiality policies and procedures regarding patient information and practice data.
Health and Safety: Contributing to the promotion and maintenance of health, safety, and security in line with the practice's Health and Safety Policy.
Additional responsibilities: Deputise for the Practice Manager in their absence, supporting the running of the departments day to day. Supporting the Practice Manager in the reviewing and updating of Practice policies and procedures. Coordinating staff absences and maintaining records on the HR portal.
