Job summary

Senploy is seeking a qualified SEND Teacher to lead a small specialist class in Hackney, focusing on early developmental learning for KS1/KS2 students. You will work within a multidisciplinary team with Teaching Assistants and therapists, delivering differentiated lessons aligned to each child’s developmental level.

The role offers a temp-to-perm pathway, term-time structure, and collaboration with SEND professionals to support meaningful progress for each pupil.

Qualifications

• QTS required and SEND experience essential.
• Strong understanding of early development and developmental learning.
• Ability to differentiate well below chronological age expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan highly differentiated learning around individual starting points.
• Deliver engaging early literacy and numeracy activities.
• Develop pupils' communication and interaction skills.
• Use visual and sensory approaches to support learning.
• Plan around EHCP outcomes and individual goals.
• Break learning into achievable steps and establish routines.
• Support emotional regulation and positive engagement.
• Encourage choice and independence.
• Monitor progress against individual outcomes.
