Job summary

Charlton Wood Primary Academy is seeking an enthusiastic early years teacher to join a supportive EYFS team on a maternity cover basis. The role is part-time (0.6 FTE) working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with potential for involvement in subject leadership and mentor roles within the Trust.

You will join an experienced teacher in a job-share and have opportunities to contribute to school improvement, professional development and on-going support for colleagues and Early Career Teachers.

Qualifications

  • Must meet Teachers’ Standards and hold QTS.
  • Experience in primary education; EYFS is welcome.
  • Ability to mentor ECTs and contribute to school improvement.
  • Demonstrates reflective practice and evidence-informed teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and promote strong pupil outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, leaders and the Trust.
  • Participate in CPD and induction activities.
  • Support fluency in spoken English and contribute to school culture.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced EYFS teacher within a supportive and collaborative job-share arrangement. We welcome applications from teachers at different stages of their career, including experienced teachers and those earlier in their teaching journey. Depending on experience and aspirations, there may be opportunities to contribute to subject leadership, support the development of colleagues, mentor Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and participate in wider school improvement initiatives.

Salary: M 1-6 £34,069-£46,940 / UPS 1-3 £46,950-£52,835 FTE (part time 0.6, to be pro-rated)

Contract: Maternity Cover up to 31 August 2027, Part time 0.6, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Deadline: Monday 21 September at Midnight

Interviews: Monday 28 September, Time TBC
