Job summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a General Receipt & Distribution Assistant to join the Receipt & Distribution team. Reporting to the Receipt & Distribution Manager, you will handle general housekeeping, process receipts, and manage deliveries across the site using electronic handheld devices.

You will transport items to wards and departments, ensure signed delivery records, answer queries, and collaborate with Purchasing, Stock Control, Invoice

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt delivery of received goods to end users at a central plan as directed by the Receipt & Distribution Manager.
• Deliveries are accepted at the end users department/ward with a signed delivery record.
• Deal with customer and vendor queries as necessary.
• Deliver/retrieve items from Wards, Departments, Hospital Reception or other areas as necessary.
• Undertake any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Receipt & Distribution Manager.
• Establish and maintain a working rapport with Purchasing, Stock Control, Invoice Control and administration colleagues.
