Job summary

South Staffordshire Water, operating Cambridge Water and South Staffs Water, seeks a Network Controller in Cambridge to monitor and control the water distribution network. You'll respond to alarms, coordinate out-of-hours activities, and work with field teams to maintain water quality and supply reliability.

This role requires strong communication, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple systems concurrently.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monitor water supply and distribution systems using SCADA and data logging.
  • Respond to operational and security alarms per procedures.
  • Coordinate out-of-hours call-outs for teams and duty managers.
  • Manage water movements to maintain supply and protect quality.
  • Raise and assign work orders for operational response activities.
  • Escalate incidents and emergencies per company procedures.
  • Collaborate with customer service for timely updates.
  • Identify recurring issues to improve network performance.
