Job summary

Skyral Group is seeking a modelling engineer to develop and adapt high-performance simulation models for training systems. You will work on behavioural, environmental, and interoperability aspects, balancing fidelity with real-time constraints.

Based on-site in Warminster, UK, you will collaborate with Simulation Integration Engineers and QA teams, delivering reusable components and iterative improvements for operational use.

Qualifications

• This is not a research modelling role; you build real training system models.
• Strong analytical and systems thinking mindset.
• Comfortable across multiple modelling domains; capable of tackling complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt models from data and SME input for training needs.
• Implement behavioural logic, effects, and environmental responses.
• Tune models for fidelity, performance and scalability with pragmatic trade-offs.
• Design reusable, composable models contributing to a wider ecosystem.
• Ensure coherent interactions when models combine with other systems.
• Integrate models with terrain, environment, and external systems (e.g. HLA, DIS, APIs).
• Collaborate with Simulation Integration Engineers and QA Engineers.
• Own a primary modelling area while contributing across domains.
• Support iterative improvement based on validation and feedback.
