Job summary

Moon Intelligence is hiring a Python Software Engineer to join the Market Access team. You will build and operate real-time trading infrastructure that connects to betting and prediction market exchanges using Python, FastAPI and async workflows.

In this hands-on role you’ll own meaningful projects, work with REST APIs, WebSockets and external data feeds, and help ensure reliability, correctness and robust error handling in a small team.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python experience with production services.
• Good understanding of asynchronous Python, concurrency and event-driven systems.
• Experience integrating with external APIs and real-time data feeds.
• Good SQL and relational database skills.
• Strong debugging skills and reliability/failure handling awareness.
• Able to work autonomously and in a small team.
• Solid software engineering practices including testing and code review.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with betting and prediction market exchanges via REST APIs and WebSockets.
• Develop asynchronous Python services supporting order management, pricing and automated trading.
• Design reliable systems that handle external failures and state changes safely.
• Investigate production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Own features from development through testing and deployment.
