GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC is looking for a forward-thinking Battery Controls Engineer to enhance our Energy Recovery Systems. In this role, you will develop and optimize embedded controls software for our high-performance Formula 1 hybrid powertrain.

Your responsibilities include implementing control algorithms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and adhering to high standards for safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Expertise in battery control algorithms such as state of charge and state of health.
• Strong proficiency in embedded C and ability to work with auto-generated code.
• Familiarity with HV battery physics and high voltage bus networks.

• Develop and maintain embedded software for HV battery management systems.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure cohesive system operation and conduct testing.
• Create requirements and unit tests for clean, scalable code bases.
