Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer for an innovative 5G technology company, working on embedded PHY software with a focus on real-time performance on embedded platforms.

You’ll develop software to run and test 5G NR PHY algorithms, write high-performance C/C++ code, optimise using SIMD and multithreading, and integrate with ARM-based platforms while contributing to CI testing and interoperability with vendors and operators.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C/C++ development experience.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash or Groovy.
• Solid understanding of software performance and optimisation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Developing software used to run and test 5G NR PHY algorithms
• Writing and optimise high-performance C/C++ code
• Optimising performance using SIMD, multithreading and hardware acceleration
• Integrating software with 5G PHY algorithms and ARM-based platforms
• Improving and maintaining automated CI testing across the platform
• Supporting interoperability testing with other technology vendors and operators
• Working closely with hardware, system architecture and system test teams
• Contributing to technical reviews and customer-facing engineering discussions
