BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a top-ranked national law firm in its search for an Associate to join its leading Real Estate (Investment & Development) team in Birmingham. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working as standard and flexible arrangements considered. A competitive salary and excellent benefits package are on offer. The Role

As a Real Estate Associate in this nationally recognised team, you will:

  • Join one of the UK\'s top real estate practices, known for its work across commercial, residential, mixed-use, and strategic land developments.
  • Advise a broad range of clients including investors, developers, strategic land promoters, public sector bodies, and housing associations.
  • Work on high-value transactions including acquisitions, disposals, regeneration schemes, commercial leasing, and development projects.
  • Gain exposure to nationally significant projects such as city centre regeneration, strategic land promotion, and industrial developments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across various offices and specialisms including planning, construction, and banking.
  • Be part of a friendly and supportive Birmingham-based team, with strong partner engagement and clear progression opportunities.
About You

To be successful in your application, you will:

  • Be a qualified solicitor or approaching qualification before the end of the year.
  • Have experience in investment and/or development transactions, including due diligence, lease negotiation, and asset management.
  • Be commercially minded with a proactive and client-focused approach.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrate strong technical ability and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in real estate law.
