JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join its L500 ranked Real Estate team in Edinburgh. This rapidly growing Scottish firm offers high-calibre work, exposure to top-tier clients, and a clear progression pathway within a supportive, award-winning environment.

You will assist on commercial real estate transactions, draft contracts, review titles, and mentor junior colleagues while developing technical expertise under seasoned Partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in Scottish Real Estate.
• Experience handling commercial property matters.
• Strong drafting skills with a commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including sales, purchases and leases.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and ancillary documentation.
• Review property titles and leases, preparing detailed client reports.
• Support on development agreements and property management matters.
• Act for a diverse client base including developers, investors, corporates and HNW individuals.
• Maintain regular client contact, delivering clear and pragmatic advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider firm on complex matters.
• Support business development initiatives and client relationship building.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the overall teams development.

The Work

Your Experience

• Scottish Real Estate Lawyer with a minimum of 3+ years PQE
• Experience handling commercial property matters
• Strong drafting skills with a commercial mindset
• Confident communicator with good client-care skills
• Organised, proactive and keen to take ownership of work
• Interest in developing long-term client relationships and progressing within a growing team
