Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking a Class 1 Driver for trunking and container work in Luton to join our client’s UK-wide operations, with a path to permanent employment after 12 weeks.

You will work nights, Monday to Sunday, on 10–12 hour shifts with weekly pay and overtime opportunities; on-site break areas, vending machines, subsidised canteen and free parking are provided. A Driving Assessment may be required before shift allocation.

Qualifications

• Must have Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• UK resident with Right To Work documentation.
• Endorsements DD, TT, DR, CD, IN not accepted.
• May be required to complete Driving Assessment.

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 1 Drivers in Luton to work with our client, who provides specialist supply chain solutions, throughout the UK; focusing mainly on the retail and foodservice industries.

Those with weekend availability will be prioritised during the recruitment process.

About you:

You must have your Class 1 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements.

You must be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs or relocation) and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
