Job summary

Gi Group is sourcing a Class 1 Driver for a Milton Keynes location. This ongoing temporary role requires delivering parcel and mail bulk loads while maintaining vehicle checks and compliant tachograph records.

You will work Monday to Friday in a 24/7 operation with on-site parking. The role offers an hourly rate of £19–£20, with earnings from £19.89 to £20.45 per hour for advanced pay terms.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence with CPC and Digi tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence and 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Able to work weekends for 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Parcel & Bulk load deliveries to stores.
• Conduct vehicle checks and maintain tachograph records.

Role & Responsibilities :

• Parcel & Mail Bulk Loads
• Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.
• Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained on
• Ability to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringement
• Acting as a professional face of the brand when arriving at stores

Class 1 Driver Requirements

• Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)
• Minimum 6 months Class 1 licence + 6 months months Class 1 driving experience
• Previous experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essential
• Max 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)
• Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operation
• Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
