Job summary

Agincare is hiring a Support Worker in Colsterworth, Lincolnshire, eight miles from Grantham. You will help individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs live independently at home and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to participate in community activities and promote independence.

We are looking for Support Worker for our Services in Colsterworth just 8 miles from Grantham. This is a unique service offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work. Full time, Part Time and Bank positions available.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating - effectively communicate using peoples chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
