Job summary

The Best Connection Wolverhampton is currently recruiting for a Steel Operative to join our client in Wolverhampton. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00-14:00 with a pay rate of £13.21 per hour.

Key duties include operating an overhead crane, rigging loads, operating a band saw, and working as part of a team to meet production targets. Previous steel industry experience and crane operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a steel manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
• Overhead crane operating experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to load, unload, and position steel beams.
• Secure loads using approved rigging techniques to prevent shifting or damage during lifting operations.
• Assist in the operation of other machinery as required.
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets.
• Operate a band saw safely and efficiently.
