Job summary

The Best Connection Wolverhampton is recruiting a Steel Operative to join our client in Wolverhampton. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:00-14:00, Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour.

Operate an overhead crane to load, unload, and position steel beams, and secure loads using approved rigging techniques. You will assist in operating other machinery, work with a team to meet targets, and operate a band saw safely.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a steel manufacturing, fabrication, or warehouse environment.
• Overhead crane operating experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to load, unload, and position steel beams.
• Secure loads using approved rigging techniques to prevent shifting or damage during lifting operations.
• Assist in the operation of other machinery as required.
• Work as part of a team to achieve production targets.
• Operate a band saw safely and efficiently.
