GCIL North Lanarkshire is seeking a Female Personal Assistant to support a woman living in Wishaw. The role includes personal care, mobility assistance, seizure monitoring, PEG feeding, and helping with daily activities.
Hours are up to 30 per week, typically Monday–Friday 9am–3pm with potential occasional evenings. The pay rate is £13.45 per hour. Training is provided; driving licence is preferred but not essential.
A female Personal Assistant is required to support a woman living in the Wishaw area. She enjoys watching TV, chatting, shopping, and spending time out in the fresh air. She has epilepsy, an acquired brain injury, and physical and neurological disabilities. She has a Peg Feed Tube in situ and uses an Oxygen Concentrator 24/7.
The successful candidate should take a proactive and creative approach to providing support, encouraging her to take part in activities that reflect her interests, preferences, and needs.
The most important qualities are a warm, friendly nature and a genuine interest in working in a caring and supportive role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Driving licence is preferred but not essential as you may be required to drive a manual mobility vehicle.
Experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
Guaranteed permanent position of up to 30 hours per week
Monday - Friday: 9am – 3pm (during the first 1-2 weeks 9AM – 1PM)
There may be evening shifts required approximately 7pm – 9pm, this will be discussed as interview.
£13.45 per hour
