Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy service centre in Shrewsbury. The role combines MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across various makes and models.

You will carry out MOT tests per DVSA rules, perform servicing and diagnostics, inspect brakes, steering and emissions, and maintain accurate MOT documentation. The position offers a 44-hour week, Monday–Friday with Saturday mornings, no Sundays or Bank Holidays, and 22

Qualifications

• Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance.
• Diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.

The Role
