Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician in a busy automotive service centre. The role combines MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and repairs across various makes and models.

The successful candidate will have a valid MOT Tester licence, a Vehicle Technician qualification and strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills, with experience in fast-fit or dealership environments and a full UK driving licence (no more than 9 points).

Qualifications

Valid MOT Tester licence - essential.
Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience.
Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership.
Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
Vehicle servicing and general maintenance.
Diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems.
Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required.
Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards.
Identify defects and required remedial work.
Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and Health & Safety.

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive service centre in Shrewsbury.

This is a varied, hands‑on role combining MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.

The Role

Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
