Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive service centre in Bury St Edmunds. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and no Sundays or Bank Holidays, with ongoing training.

You will carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards, service and repair a range of vehicles, and maintain exceptional workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester licence - essential.
• Vehicle Technician qualification and relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within a fast-fit centre, garage or recognised dealership.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance.
• Diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems.
• Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required.
• Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards.
• Identify defects and required remedial work.
• Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and Health & Safety.

Are you a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician looking for a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, ongoing training and no Sundays or Bank Holidays?

We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive service centre in Shrewsbury.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining MOT testing with servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.

The Role

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance
• Diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, lights, emissions and exhaust systems
• Brake, tyre and wheel alignment work where required
• Accurately complete MOT documentation and job cards

About You

• Monday to Friday plus Saturday morning - finish at 12pm
