Job summary

TGP Cymru is a Wales based charity working with children, young people and families. The Travelling Ahead team provides advice and advocacy supporting people to access rights and entitlements, address inequalities and tackle discrimination.

The team are home based and work flexibly in a range of settings with a mix of virtual and face to face working. The role is Wales-wide and funded until March 2029 Applications are welcome from all sections of the community and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Experience engaging with communities through work, volunteering or lived experience.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with individuals and partners.
  • Understanding challenges faced by unpaid carers and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and social justice.

Job description

TGP Cymru is a Wales based charity working with children, young people and families and has been providing services across Wales for over 24 years.

Join TGP Cymru’s Travelling Ahead team working across Wales alongside Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities. Travelling Ahead provides advice and advocacy supporting people to access their rights and entitlements, address inequalities and tackle discrimination. The team are home based and work flexibly in a range of settings with a mix of virtual and face to face working. The role is Wales-wide and funded until March 2029

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience of working with people and communities, either through employment, volunteering or lived experience.
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships with individuals, families and partner organisations.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by unpaid carers and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and social justice.
