Veterans Regroup CIC in Cornwall is seeking a Caseworker based at the Truro VALOUR Hub to provide person-centred information, advice and practical support to veterans and the Armed Forces Community across Cornwall.

You will carry out assessments, develop support plans, make referrals and offer advocacy, delivering support face-to-face, by phone or online at outreach clinics, hospital settings and community events.

Job description

The Caseworker will provide person‑centred information, advice and practical support to veterans and the wider Armed Forces Community across Cornwall. Based at the Truro VALOUR Hub, the role supports people with a wide range of issues including welfare benefits, housing, finances, cost‑of‑living pressures, health and wellbeing, and access to community resources.

Working as part of the VALOUR partnership, the Caseworker carries out structured assessments, develops support plans, makes timely referrals and offers advocacy within agreed boundaries. The role involves delivering support through face‑to‑face appointments, telephone and digital channels, outreach clinics, hospital settings and community events. The postholder will help create a welcoming, trauma‑informed environment and ensure people are connected to the right support at the right time.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines advice work, practical casework, partnership working, community outreach and relationship building. The Caseworker contributes to safe daily operations of the Truro VALOUR Hub, maintains accurate case records, supports monitoring and reporting, and participates in training, supervision and reflective practice.
