Voyage Care Thornaby is seeking a Team Leader for Riverway Lodge to lead our new neurological behaviour service. The role involves supervising shifts, inducting staff, updating care plans, ordering medications, and supporting people to gain independence.

You will work with the manager to oversee daily operations, allocate shifts, conduct supervision and appraisals, and ensure high-quality care. A Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards) is required; experience with

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shifts and staff on duty.
• Induct new colleagues, conduct appraisals and supervision.
• Develop and update care plans and manage medication ordering.

Job description

Team Leader - Thornaby - £15.19 per hour - 37.5 hours.

Typical Shifts: 5 days per week - Monday to Sunday - 2 days off rota - 8:00am - 4:00pm or 9:00am - 5:00pm and 3 days on rota - 7:30am - 3:00pm & 2:30pm - 10:00pm.

On-Call - 10:00pm - 8:00am, which is shared between the Senior Management Team on a rota basis.

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Team Leader to join us in leading our brand new neurological behaviour service in Thornaby - Riverway Lodge. This service will be a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Team Leader with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, conducting supervision’s and appraisals, developing and updating care plans, ordering medication, ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances and day-to-day management of the service in the absence of the manager. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Team Leaders are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Team Leader having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Team Leader should have previous experience in a similar role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards). Experience supporting individuals with neurological conditions or brain injuries would be a benefit, however this is not essential.
