Job summary

Voyage Care Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to drive our supported living service in Folkestone. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring high-quality support for a fantastic group of people, with a focus on independence and well-being.

The role requires prior supervisory experience and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care. You will manage shifts, supervise staff, and contribute to care planning while maintaining excellent safeguarding and DBS standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role with responsibility for supervising teams.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification is required.
• We look for leaders who support independence and well-being of service users.

Responsibilities

• Support people to gain more independence in daily life.
• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and service management.
• Allocate shifts and manage rosters.
• Organise and book training for staff.
• Induct new colleagues and set expectations.
• Conduct supervision and appraisals for team members.
• Develop and update individual care plans.
• Order medications as needed.
• Support people to manage finances.
• Cover day-to-day management in the absence of the manager.

About the Role

Team Leaders with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Team Leader to join us in leading our supported living service in Folkestone. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Responsibilities

• Helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives
• Assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service
• Allocating shifts
• Booking in training
• Inducting new colleagues
• Conducting supervision’s and appraisals
• Developing and updating care plans
• Ordering medication
• Ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances
• Day-to-day management of the service in the absence of the manager

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
