Job summary

Fulcrum Engineering are recruiting for sheet metal welders/fabricators at all levels. You will weld TIG principally, with MIG as required, and fabricate from engineering drawings in a Fab Shop.

Typical hours are 07:30 to 16:00 or 17:30, with 40–48 or up to 55+ hours Mon to Fri as required. Sat shifts 06:00–13:30 as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to fabricate & weld with TIG mainly & some MIG depending on skills levels, or weld with MIG and some TIG.
• Ideally C & G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork.
• Ideally use Tube Bending Machine & Press Brake & other Work Shop Machinery & Tools

Responsibilities

• Fabricate & weld sheet metal components to engineering drawings, mainly TIG with MIG as required.
• Work in Fab Shop and assist on installations during busy periods on factories/process plants.
• Operate or assist with shop machinery such as tube bending and press brake as needed.

Fulcrum Engineering & Technical are acting as a Employment Business on behalf of our Clients

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar Welding Fabrication roles depending on applicants skill sets & experience. Fabricator Welders will be more involved with fabrication on sheet metal, plate. Welding work with TIG mainly and MIG on supports & frames.

Sheet Metal Welder Fabs & Fabricator Fitter Welders working on the fabrication from engineering drawings & welding angle, box, tube to high spec finish. Welders TIG mainly working mainly on welding sheet metal 1.5 - 4 mm stainless or mild steel, ali, mild steel angle, box ideally able to weld pipe & tube with TIG or MIG.

Also semi skilled applicants can apply if they can cover most of the work depending on their skill set. Working mainly in the Fab Shop some workers may be asked to help out when really busy on installation work on factories/process plants.

Quals/Skills = Able to fabricate & weld with TIG mainly & some MIG depending on skills levels, or weld with MIG and some TIG

Hours = 0730 to 1600 or 1730 40 to 48 or up to 55 + hours Mon to Fri as required

Also 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required

Term = Temp Contract 6 to 13 weeks & Contract Temp to Perm 13 - 26 weeks with good chance of perm role after 13 or 26 full weeks

Perm = £18 + per Hr May be some direct perm roles if the applicant is working and has to give notice

Pay Temp Contract = £21 + per hr up to 60 hrs £25 + per hr Sat Depending on Skills/Quals
